On November 16, 2017 a beautiful event about utilizing Fashion as a vehicle for change was held at United Nations headquarters. The event was organized by UN DPI and the NGO/DPI Executive Committee's Youth Subcommittee. The purpose of the briefing was to raise awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals by highlighting their relevance within the fashion industry.

The event included a panel discussion with Patrick Duffy, Andrea Reyes, Shivam Punjya, Amanda Carr, Ashia Dearwester and Lilian Liu, followed by a fashion showcase with models wearing sustainable clothing.
